This 1993 Land Rover Defender 130 was specified new as a right-hand-drive pickup, and it spent time in Italy before it was refurbished between 2023 and 2025. Work included a left-hand-drive conversion, a repaint in gray, refreshing the interior, and mechanical overhauls. Powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, the truck is equipped with a locking center differential, 16″ Sawtooth alloy wheels, front disc brakes, and a cabin heater. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, this Defender 130 is now offered in Italy with refurbishment documents, manufacturer’s literature, and Italian registration.
The truck was refinished in the current shade of gray during the refurbishment and features a gloss-black roof. LED headlights, turn signals, and brake lights were installed, and additional exterior details include checker-plate front fender trim, black wheel arch extensions, windshield vents, and a tow ball. Checker-plate flooring has been installed in the truck bed, and dents are noted in portions of the bed.
The 16″ Sawtooth alloy wheels feature machine-finished accents and are mounted with 235/85 Royal Black M/T tires that were installed in 2025. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The selling dealer tells us the brakes and suspension were overhauled during the refurbishment.
The reupholstered front seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and further details include replacement carpets, a cabin heater, and manual-crank windows. Scuffs are noted on the door panels, and portions of the headliner are loose.
The truck was converted to left-hand drive during the refurbishment, and it is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel with an ElCar Offroad-branded center cap. Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 247k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The truck is powered by a 2.5-liter 200Tdi turbodiesel inline-four that was between 2023 and 2024 with a replacement timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and coolant hoses. An Italian-language refurbishment summary in the gallery lists additional replacement components.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. An anti-rust treatment was applied to the chassis and underbody during the build.
The vehicle is being sold on its Italian registration, which serves as the ownership document in Italy.
